Hi, I have done a check disk on my daughter's Acer Travel Mate 2420 and now I can not boot the laptop anymore. I have the message ''WINDOWS\SYSTEM\CONFIG\SYSTEM missing/corrupted. You can attempt to repair this file by starting Windows Setup using the original setup CD-ROM'' but I do not have any cd's, the laptop came with the Windows XP on it & is older than one year, so I do not have any warranty on it.Please can you help?Many thanks,Nelly1 person needs an answerI do too

You need windows XP CD for fixing the issue. Any XP bootable disc will do.And follow the instructions mentioned herehttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/307545 Regards Dinesh
